Limited 1-year warranty
The following parts are warranted to be free from manufacturer’s faults for a period of 1 year (12 months) starting at the date of purchase: frame, battery, motor, fork, headset, seat post, saddle, rims, kickstand, reflectors, wheel hub, controller, brakes, lights, bottom bracket, crank set, pedals, cassette, derailleur, shifter, LCD display, handle-stem, handlebar, charger, throttle.
What to do if there is a problem with your product
Immediately after receiving your bike inspect it thoroughly for damage or missing parts. Damage occurred during transport is covered under warranty within the first 14 days of receiving the bike. Email email@example.com with your original invoice information and a description and pictures/videos of the problem. Most problems can be resolved by troubleshooting. Pictures or videos of the damage must be emailed to us to help with the resolution of the problem. If a claim is approved a replacement part will be sent and we will provide assistance with the repair. In extreme cases only, if a repair cannot be performed in reasonable time and several repair attempts fail we may at our discretion provide a replacement product. The damaged item may have to be returned to us first.
This limited warranty does not cover normal wear and tear items including but not limited to tires, inner tubes, chain, brake pads, cables, spokes or any damage, failure, or loss caused by improper assembly, set up, storage, or maintenance. This warranty does not cover assembly or maintenance of the item including but not limited to: brake, derailleur and spoke tuning, gear adjustments, bottom bracket tightening, handlebar adjustments. This warranty covers normal use only. It does not cover damage to the the product due to misuse, extreme riding, stunt riding, act of god, traffic accidents, tampering with battery pack or charger, using non-original chargers, water damage, neglect, accident or improper service.
Commercial use, including but not limited to couriers, bike rentals, flyer deliver and food delivery will void the warranty. Any modification of the product and problems caused by use of third party accessories is not covered by warranty. Warranty is for the original purchaser only. Invoice must be produced for warranty claim. Warranty is not transferable to second hand users. Leitner will not pay for return shipping of a damaged item. If customer uses their own shipping arrangements Leitner is not responsible for loss or damage.
Examples which are not covered by warranty:
-minor scratches, marks or imperfections which do not significantly impact the performance and safety of the product
-trip distance per charge and top speed of bikes are estimates only and may be lower as advertised. Batteries lose capacity naturally over time.
-noise, e.g. squeaking noise or vibration noise
-It is accepted by the purchasers that there may be variations between two identical models, for example that the speed on low, medium and high pedal assist varies or that the power output varies. Leitner does not guarantee that the performance of two identical models is exactly the same as there will be some natural variations.
It is the customers' responsibility to service and maintain the products regularly and to make sure that the product is safe to use before each ride. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Law Leitner Electric bikes shall not be responsible for any direct, indirect or consequential damages, including without limitation, damages for personal injury, property damage, or economic losses, whether based on contract, warranty, negligence, or product liability in connection with their products.
If an item is in a customer's possession during a credit card charge back the warranty will be paused until resolution of the charge-back.
Respectful communication is highly valued at Leitner Electric Bikes. We have a long track record of providing customer service at the highest level and we work hard with customers to resolve any issues. However there is a no tolerance policy for abusive behavior. At our discretion we reserve the right to cancel orders, issue refunds, refuse service and void warranty.
Warranty is valid for products purchased in the lower 48 states. Parts will only be shipped to the lower 48 states.
